Any ToG owners out there?
I see a lot of posts from sport watch guys subs, daytona, lv, etc... Just wondering how many ToG owners are out there. I know it's not very popular in general compared to DJ and Subs.
Maybe ToG owners are more shy or they are not as internet savvy as sport watch owners. |

I have ordered a stainless steel, black dial, TOG and merely waiting for the AD to call when it arrives.
I wanted a watch that could serve two purposes: 1) to wear when I must wear a suit but most days to wear when I'm business casual and 2) to wear with jeans. IMO, I think the TOG is a nice blend between the Rolex sports watches and their dress watches. Your mileage may vary... |

Nice picture. Bo, you seem to always have the right picture or answer to any question. I'm going to try to find some obscure Rolex trivia to quiz you!

TOG is a DJ, just with a moveable bezel. I don't buy this business that they don't hold their value. They are gorgeous watches, and so I would buy one in a minute. You are just getting a more functional Date Just...that is all.

I agree ! That's why I can't understand the difference in MSRP. The TT DJ at over $8 k and the TOG for $7800.

Have a TT Jub Blue Faced T-Bird (1987 vintage), TT GMT Master (with Diamonds and Rubies), and SS Submariner and I can tell you that the T-Bird really gets noticed. You will be able to wear the TOG with blue-jeans or a nice dark suit. Is it my favorite watch?....yes and no as they all are!

I purchased my ToG (SS blue dial) about two months ago and love it. Besides the fact that I think it is beautiful, that you don't see it around a lot appeals to me as well. I haven't posted a photo because I am a camera idiot!

The TOG has the nicest turning bezel as well. Perfect for parking meters and BBQ timing. Man a TOG in rose gold...that has me thinking.....

Parking meter? I never thought of using a sub or a TOG for park meters. Now that's interesting. The sad thing is that in my country we don't have parking meters.

Is the ToG discontinued with the smooth bezel? To me, this was the hallmark of the model, and is far more esthetically pleasing than the bezel of many flutes. The style is illustrated on this thread by Marshall47's great pic. #Would be unbelievable in "everose".

The problem as I understand it is that the fluted bezel shows dings and scratches less. the original Thunderbird Bezel, beautiful as it is, was hard to polish. There are very fine lines in that bezel. I like both.
