Nice trip down memory lane there but it`s too bad that Mr. Ridley doesn`t have the time to share more of his work with us regular folks although I suppose if I were to scour the vintage section long and hard enough I could probably come up with a few more recent examples of his work.Nothing gives me greater pleasure than the story and pictures of a a well documented restoration job.

Keep up the good work Bob!

Bob-
Greetings from a fellow North Texan!
Thank you for sharing this most unusual story about another one of your meticulous restorations and these wonderful photos.

And thanks to our members for bumping this thread. I can't believe I hadn't seen this until now! Bob

Many thanks for joining this forum , as well as your contributions and work. Those who relate stories of your restorations are among my favorite threads. I follow them avidly. This restoration is particularly relevant to me as I was born in 1942. That triple complication is my grail. Regretably out of my price range, let alone the recent sale for over a million dollars.

I surely noticed that but still a wonderful story, I'm glad that someone rediscovered it for those of us who weren't around on TRF back in 2008.

Maybe we should have a "The best of" archive somewhere or a monthly repost of some of the most valuable old threads?
