Tudor7928 has landed- old but good...
Well the vintage Tudor 7928 (1966) that I borrowed for two weeks, then sent back for repair and finally negotiated a trade for an old electric guitar is now back in my hands. The seller put it on a really nice Hirsch vintage looking two tone leather strap.
I decided that the Tudor would be the perfect vintage addition to my very small Rolex collection. I am really happy with it. Yes, the hands look very old, the case has a scratch and the pearl dot is missing, but it's mine..., on my wrist today as of lunchtime... Thanks to all of the Tudor fans here on TRF for reminding me that my insanity is quite common..! I am going to enjoy this watch on a leather strap, though the seller has a vintage 1974 US replacement Rivet bracelet... Yes, the obsession never ends...

another band shot...
Here is a better photo of the two tone band. Not something I would have picked out myself, but it's pretty nice, and matches the watch well.

Easy fix...

I am still pondering the 700 dollar rivet bracelet, but that's nearly what I paid for this watch. Perhaps in the future I'll open up my wallet for a $700 dollar band, but not today...

Lessons...
It was closer to 1,000 dollars, but it involved a trade of my gibson guitar for his fender guitar. Now, it did take me three years of working with this guy (who has no email, no online presence) to get him to sell me his items.
He's somewhat of a elder watch mentor for me, I am learning a lot, and he says if I sell the Tudor he will kill me..., So I am keeping it. Lastly, I put a deposit on the bracelet.., Yes, I have lots my mind...!! LarryCCF, this is partly your fault, talking with you got me even more interested in Tudors... I hate to say this, but I actually want another one... Help Gentlemen...
