Assembly diagram of ceramic bezel!!
Hey guys,
I stopped by my AD to discuss the issue I have with the green hand not lining up properly. She called Rolex while I was there and they said they would gladly fix it. While I was waiting, she gave me a "WatchTime Magazine; Special Issue: A Rolex Review" It is chock full of interesting Rolex info/history and watch reviews. One of which was the new GMT. It took me forever to scan and size/crop the following illustration, but think it is well worth it, as I've been very interested in how the ceramic bezel is designed and constructed. And I would bet many of have been as well. Enjoy!! Last edited by ron17402; 4 October 2007 at 06:52 AM.. |

Wow!! Ron, thanks for sharing! Been wanting to see how they did the new bezel. I can see now how it is much more fool proof. No spring. But rotates around on 3 bearings. Outstanding!

Your welcome!!
This special issue of WatchTime has 82 pages of very interesting info about Rolex and has many reviews; including the DD, sub, SD, Daytona, GMT, as well as company history, etc. It's from about August 2006. I could not find it on the archives of the website. But you may be able to get ahold of one from you AD or by contacting them directly. http://www.watchtime.com/news/ |

Ron,
I'm not good with sketches/diagrams .. could you please take the bezel off of your watch and show us the assembly in actual photos. (After all you are getting so good with your photography) |

Nice info!! Thanks for sharing.
It makes me realize just how complex and very well designed and constructed a Rolex bezel is.
