Australian SS Daytona Owners

You hear a lot about SS Daytona owners waiting a long time, or paying a premium for their 'grail watch', but it seems to vary a little from country to country...
I am interested to hear from any SS Daytona owners in Australia that bought new from an AD...

1. Did you have to wait long?
2. Do Australian AD's reserve SS Daytonas for their best customers, as many US ones do?
3. Did they charge a premium or MSRP?

Cheers

I am not an "Aussie", but this thread might help?

SS Daytona 116520 owners. CLICK!

I suggest you SUBSCRIBE to that thread (via "Thread Tools > Add subscription") and then just wait until you have the "full" list.

By that time you can then ask the Australian owners (via PM or in the thread) the questions you ask here.

Just my 2 cents.

Haven't actually bought one, but AD had one in the safe.

I believe so.

This AD said to me that the Daytona would be sold as a pair (at MSRP) with another Rolex OR alone for A$15,000.

I dare say that each AD will have different policies on how they sell their Daytonas. I've heard that some AD's will not even put you on the list because they have so many people waiting. My advice is to ask around the various AD's and see what you can come up with. AD's do seem to think it is their right to charge a premium on Daytonas too. Good Luck!
