The Chi-town contingent of the GTG boards is making me a sad panda. Our last one was perfectly fine, but sadly only 3 attended. With such a world class city and no lack of shit to do, we owe it to ourselves to pony up and try to get something going. My calendar tends to get pretty booked up to 1 to 2 months in advance, but I'm happy to move things around and try to show up to a GTG, as I find it very well worth my while.

SO... that said, looking ahead at May/June/July, are there locals who would be interested -- really interested -- in trying to get something together? If you're game, please sound off and toss ideas in the ring to consider.

For those of you in the Chicago area looking for something to do that is "watch" related there is an antique jewelry and watch show this coming weekend at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers April 20-22, 2012. Just North of the river and East of Michigan Avenue. This is the first time this show will be in Chicago from what I understand. It's a non NAWCC event so I don't know exactly what to expect. I'll be there on Friday and Saturday looking for some great finds! (hopefully). These folks put on other shows around the country and I have heard good things so that's why I'm attending. Just Google: Chicago Antique Jewelry & Watch Show for the details.
