These are from a family vacation on Maui a couple of years ago.

From left to right, daughter Dana, wife Carol, me and son Jim.

The kids at the Old Laihana Lua.

Carol and I, also at the Lua, and yes, we'd had a few drinks by this time.

That was a great vacation and was the inspiration for learning how to scuba dive.

Because I didn't own one back then.

In a way, this trip started me down the path to Rolex. I went snorkeling every day, sometimes twice a day, for two weeks. And every day I would see someone scuba diving.

So I decided to learn to scuba dive. After I was certified I went through a couple of crappy dive watches. Meanwhile I was looking at ads like this

on the back of scuba magazines. So I did some research, including asking for opinions here on TRF, and found the perfect all around dive watch.

Been to Assos and Fiskardo, and you are absolutely right, what a lovely picturesque place it is. Fiskardo was the only place on the island to survive the Great 1952 earthquake that destroyed most of the houses on the island, as you probably know. So lovely a place, and if it wasnt for my job I would move to CHEPHALONIA in a flash of a superlumo dial.
