I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, but I have no reason to expect that I would use the watchmaker at my AD, who's been trained at Lititz and the Canadian National School.

I'll only let an independent watchmaker unless he's got a Rolex parts account. Other than that, it's gonna be RSC.

I've seen miracles worked by the folks down at the RSC at King's Hill, I wouldn't send my watch anywhere else

Fortunately I live half an hour away from the RSC Toronto where they not only perform exemplary work but roll out the red carpet and treat everyone like royalty.

I live very close to the RSC in Toronto, and work very close to an AD with a very good watchmaker. RSC if there is a problem or for 5 year service, AD for small adjustments, etc.

Depends.......if you have access to a competent watchmaker who can source Rolex parts.....I recommend that......I haven't used an RSC in a while, I deal w/ an expert watchmaker, whose turn-around time is quicker & prices more competitive.

I live about 5 minutes from a AD with inhouse service , also one at 45 minutes. Within 1 1/2 hours I can be at the Rolex Service Center.

RSC NYC. Hopefully if nothing goes wrong, my watch should need service every 5 years.

I already serviced it in 2009 so I am good for a couple of years.... I am just very curious to see how much the service costs on my Daytona

Exactly, it really depends were you live. I have a couple of Rolex certified and trained watchmakers local, so my watches stay close to home.

For a major 5 year service it's going to RSC. There are many independents I'd use for a service too but RSC is my choice. For simple stuff I'll use ADs.

Wow...

Based on the result so far (as of 1st May 2012, 13h50).....We could say RSC need to significantly improve their service and price....

Can you imagine, more than 40% of Rolex owner would go to independent watchmaker rather than RSC?
