Question For Mod: My 5513 Post Was Removed
I was hoping the moderator for the vintage forum could tell me why my post requesting opinions about a 5513 was taken down. I thought we were permitted to ask for input on potential purchases on the forums. Thank you.

Could you repost it?
By the way, you bear an amazing resemblance to John Candy. |

You could have asked by a private message to any of the mods. A thread is not really needed for an issue like this...

When, or even if, the mod who removed it decides to divulge his reasoning, a PM will be sent.
A moderators decision is at the sole discretion of said person, this sometimes involves more than meets the eye of the open boards, and is no way obligated to explain the actions and or reasoning!! Especially in an open format where sensitive/revealing or unnecessary info could be obtrusive..... Thread closed!

Posts are removed due to reason/s.
Most likely there was some type of non-compliance with the rules. I can only speculate as to the reason your post/thread was removed. However the fact is that every day , day in day out, 365 days a year, there are over 3,000 posts made on this web-site that do get public oxygen without moderation. Yes that is around 21,000 posts per week, week in week out. Now have a look over the last week (21,000 posts) and see who complains about their posts being moderated/deleted. Things should become clearer once they are put into perspective. Moderators perforum (pun) a very important voluntary role, and get zero appreciation except complaints. The forum doesn't function by osmosis. Good luck

I'm not sure who removed it but I remember the watch in question was a terrible example and the dial was entirely fake. At that point, who knows about the rest of it? We look at fakes like this on TRF Chances are that's why it was removed.
I also remember that it was suggested for you to stay away from the watch in question. You did get your answer before it was removed

Stevo summed it up nicely! Once in a while though a few just vanish out of thin air. Very strange how that happens...

I remember the thead and the picture, but don't remember the specifics of either.
I understand the mods explanation.......... but we could have used that as a learning experince if the watch was truly fake and/or altered. |

Go to the forum homepage. Click on "forum leaders" 3/4 of the way down. I'm sure you'll find it if you bother to look. Send a few or all a PM asking the question. Placing this where it is is inferring a complaint. So think about how you'd phrase the pm. You clearly haven't thought about the way you'd frame this thread. Bad move. I'd let this go right now.

5. THIS IS NOT A FORUM FOR THE DISCUSSION OF FAKE WATCHES, BRACELETS ETC, and your opinion are about FAKE WATCHES and who makes them, sells them, buys them and wears them is NOT welcome. We aren't looking to educate the world about fakes. The watch was fake and the OP knew that before the thread was pulled as it was made known. Enough of this thread --closed!
