My next watch just might be a Daytona, but if we're talking "only" Rolex, the Daytona is too dressy, too complicated, too expensive-to-service, and less robust than I want for a "do everything" watch. For me, a daily wearer has to go with me for outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, a little climbing, washing the car, etc., as well as, go to the office.

A DJ or GMT is fine for almost everything, but, IMO, the Daytona is going to show it, if you use it for everything.

Love the Daytona but based upon the idea of having two great Rolex instead of one I would go with the GMT II C and the DJ!

Voted GMT-IIC + DJ. I find the GMT function the most useful. While I like the looks of a chronograph, I don't really use it. Ironically, I have all three.

I'd rather have the GMT and DJ. For one thing, I personally wouldn't want a watch with no date as my only watch.

I voted #2. I think the SS Daytona is too pricey for no precious metals. The GMTIIc has been growing on me lately. I currently have a TT DJII and always thought of a YG DDII as my Rolex grail, but now I think I'd prefer a YG GMT.

GMT for everyday, DJ when you want to dress up a bit. I've had a few 'should i get a Daytona' moments but always put them up against my GMT, SD or Sub and thought it was a bit to busy and flash for an everyday wearer. Depends of course on how you plan to use it.

Good luck either way, not a bad dilemma to have :)

I wanted to vote for all three - but there wasn't a choice. If you can swing it, the GMT/DJ is a great combo.
