Limes Watches

Taking a close look at these fine German made watches. Like the Dive watches and classic watches.

Dive watches are nice. About 1mm thinner than a Rolex Sub, great Lum, very nice bracelet, proven ETA movement, and AR coated crystal, and well under $2000. Good professional tool watch.

I've been a fan of Limes since I first learned of them some years ago. I've been eyeing that very watch, and the chrono version as well. I really liked some of their older discontinued models, including...

I think they're a pretty good value.

Geez Chad, you are on the research project of all time........
When you buy this next watch it truly will have been carefully chosen....What is ahead in the race so far ? Have you got any further with Kobold ?

I forget the name of the company, but regular poster Jocke has a black diver made by a German company. Looks bomb proof and really makes a statement on the wrist !
Just cant remember the name of it.......

I've had one of the Nightflight "Vintage" models for 5 or 6 years. It is the entry level model from Limes and was my introduction to the world of mechanical watches.
If I remember correctly it cost less than $400 (which at the time was a bargain for a watch with sapphire crystals). It has the ETA 2824-2 movement. It hasn't been worn in years, so I need to get it out of the safe. Thanks for the reminder

Teofilo, the watch you are referring to is Glashuette Original's Sport Evolution Diver. Very nice watch. 200 meter WR. Only thing I did not like about it is the hour makers are only luminous at 3,6, 9, and 12. Very well made watch though with great date feature and adjustable bracelet. Runs about $6500 if you can get a good discount. MSRP is a little over $8000.

As I posted elsewhere, an alternative to the above, is Muhle Glashuette's SAR (Search and Rescue.) This watch is a tank. 1000 meter WR, special shock proof design in movement, and cost around only $2000. This is the watch formally aadopted by the German Coast Guard.
