Silver date wheels......the needle in the haystack for the perfect sub.

Not for 1570's but definitely for a 3035.

I started a quest for my 16800 and was able to find a few. What is interesting is that the silver is slightly different between a 1570 and a 3035 date wheel.

So the final mods for my 16800 are almost ready. Got this dial (not perfect) to relume. This with the silver date wheel, LV insert, AR crystal, and 93250 will make this the perfect sub IMO.

Also, in another thread the question was brought up about the differences between a 1570 and a 3035 date wheel. From this you can see it is the tooth shape and orientation of the teeth to the numbers.

I think it looks great and you could play with a variety of bezel options

Out of curiosity, what does a date wheel cost and where did you source them

I have a black, faded black, LV, and a blue/silver one. Just need a 2nd bezel now.

As for the datewheel, which one? The 3035 or the 1570? The 3035's weren't cheap.

Also, did you see my update on the 78500 cost? $975 with trade in.
