16610 work question...

Hello,

I've got a 16610LV and am wanting to have the dial swapped out for the regular size dial (prefer it to the maxi-dial). Know that authorized dealers will only perform work to restore to original specs. I live in NC and would like to send it to a place on the east coast. Any recommendations for a reputable place that could do that? Thanks

I'd sell it and buy what you want. Otherwise you'll be spending money on a creation that is worth less than either proper version.

X2

I think you would be better of selling the 16610LV and then buying a 16610. Unfortunately you'll have to give up the green insert but you'll actually end up saving money this way.

Pop the entire bezel off your LV. Send the watch without the bezel back to Rolex for a replacement bezel to be put on. Rolex won't just send out a green bezel to the AD...they'll be forced to send the watch to the RSC.

When you get the LV back, sell it and buy a regular Sub Date. Now you'll have the watch you want, and a complete green bezel to swap out whenever you want.

You can probably find plenty of unscrupulous Dealers who would do the switch for you..

But you would be ruining the value of yours..

Why not just trade it around for the watch you want, or sell it and get another..
