Submariner Opinion

Hello eveyone, i'm new to this forum and would appreciate some opinions on this Submariner. It is a 16610 t d series, it has the etched glass, the bracelet has 93250 and date stamp cl1. Sorry about the quality pic of the movement, took it quickly whilst the back was off!
Opinions appreciated.
Thanks
Ian

Nothing alarming jumping out at me, but could do with some more photos, particularly of the clasp and number and also the pins joining... Tentitive

But I think you should wait until one of the experts chimes in...

Do you have a better picture of the clasp with the codes?

I would not buy this watch based on those pictures. Who is selling this watch? Ebay, individual?

The dial does not look right. Look at the spacing on "certified" between the C E R ...

Icon13 Looks wrong

Just looked at my watch under a loupe. The C and E are not touching. They are on the dial of this watch

Also...

Swiss Made looks to be spaced too far, the crown looks too close to the L in Rolex.....plus I don't think you should be able to see the crown etching that easily in the first pic.....definite fake to me!!

It's a difficult one as some of the things mentioned could be because of camera angle and light refraction. I googled the glass etching and there are many references to it being seen when using a flash. As for spacing, Ive compared many.

This one looks almost the same.
Thanks

The background of the "movement shot" is different, so you may get a different movement in the watch shown in the other pics.
Besides of the printing issues, I would never buy a watch only based on pics.

Ask the seller where you can meet in person because you want the watch being checked by a local expert and see what he replies

P.S.
Rhe lume at 5" does not look right. It seems to sit too high compared th the lume of a genuine watch.

And the end link at 6 looks dodgy as well

The end links look terrible to me. Why not buy from a trusted seller on here?

Look at how large the lume dot is on the second hand compared to other subs.

I have held off for a while waiting to see where this would go.

My advise:

The 1000 is ridiculous and the 123 and 4 looks smaller than the rest, plus I've seen them fake movements

It's an absolute fake.

The pearl is all wrong. The date font is messy, in fact all the fonts are messy. The solid end-links are wrong and the LEC is as big as a horsefly.

lec is to prominent and not dotted like the real one it appears with solid lines, fake imho, movement photo is different to all the others, band markings are obscure, yet he can get a pretty clear photo of the face ??

The 10 on the bezel is not centered. The date looks almost hand stenciled. I vote fake too.

The spacing is completely different....the spacing on your photo has the Swiss Made outside of the 28 and 32 markers, while the example you chose of a real submariner shows the proper spacing inside of the 28 and 32 markers....the Swiss Made as shown on your photos is a tell tale sign of a fake.

Fake, no reason to messa round with a late model 16610, just buy one from a trusted TRF seller and you be fine...
