Is this really a 1942 Rolex?
I cannot find the exact match of the face anywhere on the internet. The serial number stamp is 229004; it says oyster perpetual
date and then officially certified chronometer it is a "date" watch. Silver in color; satin face with the numbers being 'angular points" and the 6 and 9 being instead two thin rectangles with attached. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to value this from my grandfather. |

It's possible, but I'll guess that it is a 1955/56 instead..
