how to set the date on a rolex explorer?
Hi all, I know it's a stupid question. is there a way set to the date number other than just keep turning the hour hand? i searched but couldn't find anything. thanks

are you talking about the explorer 2? search on how to set a gmt watch on google or youtube, and you will find it. there is no quick set, so you will have to keep turning the hour hand to get to the desired date.

yes, it's explorer 2. i used to hear the term "quick set" a lot but didnt know it what it meant. now everything makes sense now and i was worried thinking maybe there was something wrong with the watch i recently purchased. Thanks for the help.

Nope, no quick-set on the Exp II unless you go back to pre-3185 models..
However, the jump feature makes it a whole lot faster than previous non-quickset movements.. Don't forget, you can change the date in either direction to get to your desired date the fastest, so you seldom need to move it more than a few days at most..
