Rolex Aviator, a 1943 unknown?

Hi to all! it has been a long while since i've been here & I'm glad to be back! love rolex, but especially the vintage, manual wind models. I just got a new one, a '63 oysterdate precision in stainless/yellow gold that i hope to share some photo's of as soon asit comes back from my watchmaker. i shopped for quite a while before the purchase and was really pleased with the first impression, even for an "entry level" model, the Precision is all Rolex & even a little rich looking with the fluted 14 kt bezel. i never much cared for two tones, but with it's solid stainless oyster band, this one hit the spot! the perpetuals are great, i also have a '59 1002 oyster perpetual certified chronometer zephyr and a '91 oyster perpetual date with the 3135 mvmnt., both loved but destined to be let go as i've settled on the '63 for daily use in order to rest and preserve my current everyday Rolex, a 1943 Aviator. The Aviator is a mystery to me, I've searched for years without ever seeing another or even any referance to it. Don't know why i waited so long to reach out to other forum members who may be able to help with identification & might find it interesting, but here i am and would more than welcome any replies. i know pictures are needed & i will post some as soon as i can figure out how to do it. Sorry to ramble on, thanks & greetings to all!

Oysterdate is a great choice! Can't wait to see some pics of her!

Awesome, i love the old Oysterdates. My uncle passed down a very old solid gold manual wind oyster but I have yet to get it up and running.

Whereabouts in PA are you from? I recently moved near Hamburg.
