This or that...
I noticed the new no date subs are out. I leaning towards getting one along with the new blue yachtmaster. Or...instead the new wg sky dweller. Any thoughts? If that was it I may think option 1 is a no brainier but I've consolidated my collection to just Rolex so already have the green sub, wg sub, and several daytonas so maybe the sky dweller makes more sense to round out the collection? Thoughts? I suppose I need to see them all in person. The sky dweller my be more tempting if next year they came out with a wg on strap or a ss/rg version but who knows if they would do that for the flag ship model.

Yachtmaster or new Sub. I dislike the Sky Dweller. But ... it's your money.

I'd get the Sky Dweller if it were an option for me.
I think it's a great watch.

You possess an embarrassment of riches.
I quite like the Sky Dweller. Are people being asked to pay over sticker for them? |

I don't see the sky dweller as an above list piece. They are not available yet so initially at list but for the anticipated price I would think 10-20% under within six months?

Wait till you can go see and try on the Sky Dweller in person as well as YM and then make decision.

I'm for the YM and sub option. The sky dweller is nice but I'm not sure yet on how it will look in person. The best is to wait and try them all first then pick one that talks to you more.

What types of daytonas do you have? Do you have a YG piece? I think that the skydweller in YG is fantastic, and so it is in WG, but you have a WG sub, so I'd say YG.
lol tough decision my man. Tough! ![]() |

Sky Dweller = Rolex take on a Patek complication IMHO. Yet they stick it in a case and bracelet of a DD/DJ. I don't get it. Beautiful movement and amazing technology. But looks wise? I'll go for a 5146 if I'm in the market for an annual.
Go the Sub or Yachty. Never liked yachty. Id do the sub if i were you. |

Going to have to add to others & agree with this. I recently seen the no date Sub-C in person & thought it was a gorgeous piece. Without having seen the Sky Dweller I don't think it's a fair comparison.

I think all are great watches but everything depends on one's budget. Based purely on financial constraints, I would go for the no-date Sub.

WG SkyD is pretty awesome and the only one of the three i'd consider. IMHO, a much more "special" piece than a blue YM. in fact, having seen one in person, while the blue dial is stunning, i think the large light-colored bezel and dark blue dial just don't work together very well. seems like you have a pretty extensive collection and you don't "need" another sub, so, yeah, if the SkyD grabs you when you see it, go for it.

You need to see them try them on and make the call. I played with the new SkyD yesterday and I personally would not touch it with a barge pole, to me it is oversized and unatractive. I would take the Sub in a heart beat but equally challenge you if you are in the market at that price to look at some of the Patek Philippe options.

if you are looking at acquiring a piece like the Skydweller...you may as well get all 3 of them...budget is obviously not an issue..
