Yeah, I know, Wes. Err, blimey! But it wasn't a waste, really. Violet has already eaten about a dozen by herself, washed down with a mug of milk! And I'll help her with a few more to go with my coffee tomorrow.

Actually, the prices on Amazon aren't too bad compared to any imported biscuit/cookie. Thanks for the link.

There are a few more places I might try here in town. Not giving up yet.

Wow... was searching for info about McVities and found someone from Oklahoma City who had been looking for them locally as well. He found several varieties at our Wal-Mart SuperCenter. I wouldn't have guessed! But will give it a try. There's one not far from where I live.

Good luck on your digestive biscuit hunt Lisa- I'm sure your tenacity will pay off! (I hope its all worth the effort, too, as I'm sure I've had digestive biscuits, and they are kinda dry-they beg to be dipped into hot milky tea!)

My mum's Irish (we have so much in common

) Mum and Dad retired over there year and half ago now, it's so beautiful. They bought the house about 25 years ago planning to retire there one day. But Dad is so grumpy in his old age that he's never happy. It's in the middle of no where, theres nothing to do. Basically they don't know what to do with themselves in retirement. Fair enough they are away from me and my brother, but we've been out a couple times, they've been back, the flight is one hour, airports are close. And are probably gonna sell it and come back. The housing market is shocking at the moment in Ireland, so is a bad idea. Just wish they could be happy and content.

What a beautiful view they have!
Happiness and contentment have to come from within, though....
The biggest, scariest thing about retirement is what to do with all that free time that you were longing for...
I hope your parents can find a purpose again- to get moving and active again

Sorry to hear your folks aren't content. To echo Michelle, I hope they can find something to do that's fulfilling. Man, I'd be out fishing every day if I lived there! Or hiking, or planting a garden, or watching the stars at night. That would be heavenly.

Manitoba. Went up to Churchill to photograph polar bears.

Thanks, think Dad is most annoyed that there is no pub he can walk to. The one hobby he does have is fishing, but don't think he has even been since he has been there. He says the Loch is infested with the Zebra muscle, and fishing is not good.

A little town in Shannon called Killaloe. Think I would like to live there one day, that why I don't want them to sell.

Certainly a change from London life.
