Beautiful pictures. Killaloe is lovely and is near some very good fishing...

I hope it works out for your parents, Ireland is a beautiful place even if the weather is not great!

Hey Lisa I'm still passing time in this noisy Starbucks...And I decided to start reading the Coffeeshop posts from page one,(I've got time to kill!), anyway- I came across your post about making real Chai tea! How many cardamon seeds did you use?

Wow! That was a while back. Didn't JJ help advise?

Um, if remembering correctly, I used about two or three pods of seeds for about 4 cups of tea. I had a little mortar/pestle (however that's spelled) and ground them up. I guess it depends on one's taste. I'm sure a real Indian would have laughed at my efforts, but as I remember it tasted pretty good.

Okay, now to listen to your newest video... I'm getting all dreamy-eyed with anticipation.

You really ought to give us a narrative first, like Carl does, so we can admire your accent.

Thanks Sarajevo, will pass that info on to him. Think he was complaining the fishing club was too far. Basically theres always an excuse. Some people don't realise what they've got.

Beautiful Wes! do you learn off sheet music, or are you going by ear? I never see any sheet music out on your piano;
Either way, you've got talent !...(X-Factor material )

Thanks Lisa!, I'm guesstimating about 1 cardamon pod per cup of tea?
I've got the seeds,; just got to get some darjeeling!

Thanks.

Sheets, if I can get them, although you normally have to embellish them for pop stuff. YouTube comes in handy so can see what other people do with the songs, and I can rip them off. But after practising it goes into memory, which helps as I would rather concentrate more on the sound rather than reading.

Bit annoyed with the first couple of verses as they are quite bassy, don't think the camcorder is picking it up well.

In fact I thought my first take was the best, but I forgot to press record on the camcorder, no lie.

I think Earl Grey works, too. And your guesstimate sounds good as far as I know!

It definitely looks as if you are going by sound! Thats what makes it so enjoyable to watch you play..... and no you don't have to worry about batting your eyes at your audience....doesn't detract from your performance

But I sure wish he would.

I think Wes has shown us the difference between having real ability/talent and just knowing how to read sheet music.

Kind of, yes...an adventure for sure. My bff is a wildlife photographer and sometimes I tag along and wind up with some pretty cool shots of my own along the way.

Pfff look at him, being modest and all!

My friend, that piece was truly beautiful! I really enjoyed it (and this comes from a man who doesn't usually enjoy U2 that much) and I hope you'll post much more of them!

P.S.: I agree with the idea of talking a little bit!

Let's gang up on him, Carl. "You gonna talk, or do we have to bring in Mr. Tickle?"

Whatever that means....

Please tell me you have Jaffa cakes in the US. Ohhhh Karis, I need help here.
Hmmm, jaffa cake? I'm not familiar with those Wes.

How funny! Crunches are pretty popular have you tried a Bar One or a Chocolate Log? Love those!

Thanks Karis,

Jaffa cakes, had a quick look on the net. Don't think you have them, or a US equivalent. Thats a tragedy, they beat digestives, crunchie bars, you name it. They are not really cakes, but softer than biscuits. And have an organgy bit.

Right thats the last I'm gonna go on about biscuits. We are driving Lisa mad going all over Oklahoma looking for them.

Actually I did not look for them today. Wal-Mart on a Saturday would be just too much!

However, now I have more stuff to look for - Crunchie bars and Jaffa cakes!

Well I surely will if I have a bit of time soon!

In the meantime, please allow me to give you a small update on my kitchen garden! I've watered it this evening and realized a lot of peppers and tomatoes grew in it! My mother will pick them tomorrow, I'll show you how many we've got!
