Between those two, the two-tone gets my vote.

The gold will wear off with time. If you're gonna go with a Submariner style automatic Invicta, I suggest the 8926: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00

It should last him a while.

I Have An Invicta 50mm Master Of The Ocean For Two Years Now. Runs Fine And Looks Good. Nothing Wrong With Invicta IMHO. Good Starter Watch.

Depending on his age, I think most of the TAG's are nice. The resale is not that great, but a sporty watch, and ages well.

I would go with the Hamilton, that Invicta looks trashy and cheap IMHO, the Hamilton looks classy and if not then SS Invicta instead.

I would say you would be lucky to get a year out of the plating. There is a reason why the watch only cost 200 bucks. They have to cut corners some where.

Did we ever find out how old the son is? If he is young and still going to school I would not imagine him showing up to class with a blinged out gold watch, no offense.
