Take it to Rolex and get it done right.

Talk is cheap and that $100 estimate is about as bogus as anything I've ever heard.

I'm sorry for your troubles.

To others, we've heard stories like this on TRF many times.

Tile floors and Rolex sapphire crystals are a deadly combination, if anything goes wrong, like a drop to the floor from about 3 ft.

my wife smashed out the sapphire crystal on her tudor last year. tile on the bathroom floor.

i now notice a cracked floor tile next to my toilet. i bet the rolex/tudor did this.

i bet replacing the tile and reinstalling my crapper will cost much more than a grand.

So my friend fixed the watch. It cost him 350$ at the Rolex AD here in Kuwait. The dial is still scratched and it would cost around 850$ to replace.

I wouldn't stand the scratched dial but he's okay with it and we're both happy. :)

For those who are curious, I traded the watch with a friend's 16610lv plus some cash, then traded that with a BNIB G serial 14060m plus some cash.

One more reason to NEVER take your watch off. Sorry to read this...I feel your pain. After you get it repaired, just keep it on....always...

Good to hear it's fixed.
The dial you can get later or when you go for a maintenance

This time . . . more luck with it !

This is a good reason to pay the 10 bucks a month for insurance that's will cover everything with no deductible.

No, it slipped from my hand while i was removing it to put it on the book case. Then I tried grabbing it before it fell and must of added extra pressure on the impact.

Glad it all came out well for everyone. What a shock that must have been to see it shatter like that.

Unfortunate but RSC would know what to do with it. Quick thinking on stopping the movement.
