Leather Band Question

Ok so as some of you might know I have a 16610 (I guess it also has that info in my avatar), I absolutely love the watch but I'm thinking it might be time to switch up the look a little bit.
I know natos are easy enough to find and put on, but I haven't found any that I actually like. Rubber B's are cool but in the end I would rather go with a leather distressed band.

What I'm looking for:
I am really interested in trying to find a light tan to dark tan with some stitching on it. I want the leather to look like its been through hell (for some reason I just love the look on some of the pics I have seen) and was wondering if any of you guys might have a clue about where I could look.

I have searched the forums and the Accessory for sale section and found a few ideas, but nothing like I have envisioned. So basically was wondering if anyone has some nice pics and places to shop for a very distressed leather band that would fit my 16610.

As always any help is greatly appreciated and if you want to upload some pics here I would be more than happy to go through them

You might google up 'Combat-Straps' or 'Gunny Straps' for the distressed, heavy-weight look with heavy contrasting stitching. There are others that have been mentioned, but are their names are beyond me right now. Good Luck!

+1 for Gunny
but make sure to tell him to thin out the top part of strap (top of the spring bar holes) so the case dont cut into the leather.
He custom made the length of both part of straps for me.

I love their Arrillo and Deep red straps (though think not distress enough for OP)

Just googled gunny straps- they seem pretty thick a la panerai belts

Are there any recommendations for thinner vintage looking straps?

Micah makes a nice strap as well:

He does a lot of PAM straps but he'll make you one for your Rolex.

In my view many of these leather straps look unfinished and lower the entire visual appearance of the watch. I currently have a Rubber B on my DSSD which I do like though, as it conforms perfectly to the watch case and looks quality (which it is).

Those Hodinkee straps are the exact same as his, except they charge nearly twice as much! Quite the scam they have going on!

I've bought several straps through jedly1 and both service and quality were top notch.

Cheers

This is my pre-moon speedy on a suede strap from jedly1 (you can't really see much of the strap in the pic unfortunately).

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of jedly1. Scam seems rather harsh though...........prices are higher on hodinkee.

I like to use hyperbole in satirical jest - come to think of it, it probably doesn't come across so well on the internet.

Obviously not a scam on Hodinkee's part, but their straps can be had for a much lower price for those who know!
