Just saw the new DJ II with the smooth bezel 116300

and it was sweet. Great watch that is now in the states. I have been waiting for this model to hit my local AD for some time now, and I was not let down. Price is $7150 and it looks like they have many dail choices, the same as the DJ II with the fluted bezel. I think this will be a great seller for Rolex, the perfect mix of sport and dress IMHO.

Sorry no pics, but we should start to see some incoming threads real soon.

That's an early release I guess - it's not even on the Rolex website yet.

Smooth bezel DJII with the black roman dial would seem like a great combo. Still not sure about the silver dial with the oversized white sticks, gotta see one in person.

Must see in person. I like the DJ II but the bracelet seems so weird or is it just me?

It is just a regular Oyster bracelet with PCLs; out of curiosity, what do find so weird about it?

I saw a nice variety and my favorite was the matte black with roman numerals and the single batton at 9, it was flat out stunning. If the price was about $1500 less, I would have walked out with one.

Turns out my wife spend some of my watch fund on school cloths and other back to school items, and pre school which is a car payment every month. Oh well, it is just a watch after all.

Anyone seen the DJII 116300 with the Rhodium dial? That looks slick!

Great looking watch Trevor. What color dials did they have?

You have good taste, Trevor! That is one of my favorite dials as well. I traded it for the blue sticks (for the extra lume) on my 116334, but the matte black with Romans is really stunning.

size of the bracelet width wise
maybe i am mistaken but it just seemed off in relation to case size 'weird' somehow
not sure how to explain

That is it right there Charles, it looked amazing.

They had the dial that Charles has, the one that dingoo93 showed, gloss black with battons and I think the blue.

Do they make this model in solid gold at all? Not a two tone though.

I saw one at the Rolex Boutique at South Coast Plaza 2 weeks ago. I guess I'm used to the light reflections from the fluted bezel so the smooth bezel looks more subdued from certain angles.

Saw a DJII in the wild today at Disney Land. Fluted bezel and a white or silver dial with Roman numerals. Looked totally appropriate with under armour polo, casual shorts, and running bright running shoes carting kids around the amusement park!

Is the smooth bezel on the DJII still WG as with the fluted?

I agree, and that's the one that I picked up. I still am amazed by the dial under a loupe (the surrounds on the roman numerals is in gold flecking, and amazingly precise, a real show of craftsmanship, even if mass produced). I am glad I got it with the WG fluted bezel -- I don't even know if it's available in all SS or not. But, I got it to be my "dress" watch, so the fluting and the WG suits me fine.

Looks very sporty, yet classy with the fluting.

Anyone have a pic of one (116300) next to a Milgauss? Curious to see them next to each other.

The smooth bezel is SS, hence the huge price decrease compared to the gold fluted.
