Caseback question
So I recently put some money down on a 42mm 2500 Planet Ocean at my Local AD. I got a fantastic deal on it better than used prices are going for here so needless to say I'm pretty happy so far.
Now for the question I see that the new 42mm Ceramic models have a clear caseback. Would I be able to have my AD actually order a clear Case Back from Omega and install it on the watch? I wasn't sure if case sized are anything were different from the 42mm 2500 to the 42mm 8500. Any tips would be great thanks |

Well in all honesty I asked the AD but the guy I was speaking with didn't seem to knowledgeable. Nice guy gave me a solid discount, but didn't know the product very well at all.

wait till you get the watch and then call Omega or swing buy a boutique store...I agree clear backs are super cool, I was going to order one from http://www.thomas-preik.de/ and then I thought, who's going to see it

There are no clear case-backs for the 2500 PO that I know of. I don't think the 8500 would fit nor would it be worth its probably $1,000+ price.
I too like sapphire backs but the 2500 PO back is amazing and I find myself enjoying it more and more (and I also like it as there's one less seal to worry about leaking). |

He does make some awesome stuff. I was thinking about one for my sub as well, but i'm getting the caseback engraved (my fiance got it for me as a gift for our wedding). Granted the wedding doesnt happen for another year or so doesn't stop me from putting it on from time to time.
