I like the old one....have the old one on my DEEPSEA.....but curious when Rolex started switching the dial out....Mine was sold new on 10-23-2011 and has the old dial fonts etc which is what I prefer and have....but curious when Rolex made the swtich (year/month)? Just for facts

The new one is the bottom one? Could be the angle, but that one looks a bit cleaner to me.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread ... beats working though.
I've also seen some variations on the MKII, where the = sign is either centered or towards the left, next to the "t" in "ft" .... Anyway, preference wise, I like the MKI, coronet and all ... but it does not really matter. My sub is similar to the MKII (with the non-centered = as most LVCs) and it looks great.

Wow, I didn't even know about this. based on that picture, I think I prefer the old... I'd like to see a cleaner comparison though.

You can hardly tell the difference at all.... Doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

Without the closeup pictures I wouldn't have even notice. However, I like the older look better.

V's could have either font. Edit: Oops, didn't know you asked a half-year ago ...

That's funny Wes ! ......I looked exactly like that a few minutes ago when I was looking at the dial on my DSSD.
I prefer the newer one and specifically went for one. I new it had the rounded S and the shorter centre batons on the E's but couldn't see much difference in the coronet. Is it just more pointed on the older one ?? |

I guess the old one, if that is the first photo, the font looks a bit better. But you know, it wouldn't really matter to me if I was in the market for one.

Old and original for me, I would be interested to know why they changed it?

I care SO LITTLE about these minor variations, that I refuse to even look and we what version mine is.
I hope this conveys how little I care. (almost). -Eddie
