As green as they come!

Greetings from North Carolina!

Just joined today, and have already been enjoying the various aspects of the site, although I must admit, I've never submitted a comment on any site until now.

I had a white face TT Yachtmaster, and really wanted a blue face, so I sold it went down to the Omega dark side for a few years. Now that I've seen the light I'm going to be looking for that blue face, so if anyone has any suggestions as to where to find one for a good price, I'd greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

Reg

Welcome to TRF, Reg!

So do I get this right?

Welcome to TRF, Reg. Glad you joined and decided to make our friendly forum the place for your first post. We are honored (and that's said with all sincerity).

Stick around and join the fun here.

As for where to go, you can try a couple of grey dealers, like www.alanfurman.com or www.swissluxury.com. Otherwise, look for an AD (Authorized Dealer) near you and see if you can get a discount. For a TT Blue, you should be able to do at least 10%.

Yachtmaster- midsize or full size?

I do have have a question as whether the full size or mid size Yachtmaster hold their value the best?

And thanks for making me feel welcome.

Reg: IMHO, mid size rolexes do not do well in the U.S., they hold their value much better in Asia and in Europe. In Europe, because the women wear them, and in Asia because the men wear them. According to one big AD(authorized dealer) in Maryland, some of the sales people there believe mid-size is the next wave for women in the U.S.
To tell you the truth? I think mid-size is too small for a guy, but the women might just start moving on them in the U.S. And BTW, get what YOU want! And WELCOME TO TRF.

Welcome, the full size is definitely the size to get.
Make sure you like the blue on the Yacht-Master more than the blue on the Submariner, as the blue on each dial is a little different.
If you are getting a new one then you might be able to haggle a discount from the retailer. If you are buying used, there are many options, but just be careful to ensure the seller is reputable and that you are confident of the seller's bona fides.
Good Luck
