One of my all time favorites. One of the only successful use of bagpipes in rock music seriously, I listened to the Powerage album start to finish at the gym on Thursday. i love all Bon Scott era AC/DC.

one of the best bands there is

listening to Acca Dacca Live at the BBC 1976-1979 as I'm typing this, very cool stuff

even cooler, an old flatmate used to live on Angus Young's street in the early 1990s and my Mrs's parents live not far from him in Sylvania Waters, Sydney

I hope to spot him one day... he's the Hans Wilsdorf of fine riffs

I had the pleasure of meeting Brian Johnson back in the early 80's at the Norfolk Virginia airport while I was stationed in Norfolk. Had a couple beers with him waiting for our flights. Angus was there also but he was with a stunning model type lady and didnt join us for some pints.
We just small talked about music, the Navy and whatnot for a 1/2 hour 45 min or so. He was a real nice guy and I always liked him in the band.
That said, Bon was focal point of early AC/DC and put the band on the map. A quite talented writer/performer he was. Cheers to one of my favorite groups, then and now.

Yup. They are the archetypal rock band.

Saw them at SARSfest in Toronto several years go and they completely stole the show. Stones had a tough act to follow.

My sister was at a patio in Ottawa, and in came Malcolm and Agnus, and sat at the next table. Just two normal guys having a beer. Made her day.

Didn't Motorhead use synthetic bagpipes on March or Die? AC/DC rules, by the way.

Yeah - AC/DC & the bon scott albums - never get tired of listening to them

Saw them mid 90's - pretty damn good. Had to sell my black ice tickets due to a holiday conflict which deep down wasn't that bothered about. Same as Deep Purple - saw them mid 80's with Lord & Blackmore. Rather remember the band in their prime than see them as grey haired old guys

Having said that IMHO they haven't released a decent album in nearly 25/ 30 years !! Back in Black one of the biggest sellers ever & they've managed to ride the wave ever since. Even on "For those about to Rock" - maybe 2/ 3 decent songs & not much else after.

that's what my old flatmate said - they'd go round to his house and feed his dog crisps or a half eaten subway and his wife would make them cordial

Saw them in Houston couple years ago. Still put on a great show. Angus is still wild!

I have no idea, I've seen them at the garden at least 9 times, and the new garden twice. Hard to keep them all straight. But I'm sure they didn't over shadow the lead act

Amazing band......

About 3 or 4 years years ago I was in Sofia Bulgaria for a few days and had asked for a recommendation for a traditional Bulgarian restaurant.

We turned up and it was out of town near to some forest and was a sort of log cabin style but very good...... and they had a little band playing Bulgarian folk music pretty much non stop.

Anyway, we emerged just as AC-DC started up in a nearby park where they were playing...... so in my left ear Bulgarian folk and right ear ....A Whole Lot of Rosie..and Back in Black......

A great end to the evening as we chilled out sipping Bulgarian plonk to the sound of AC/DC rocking away ....
