Very Pleased DRSD

Just arrived back from Mr Ridley. Outstanding job. Obviously these are my pictures and not his. A photographer I am not. This once was my daily wear but now it looks too nice I think. Every one have a safe Labor Day.

Thanks

Thank you Gentlemen. I will post his pictures when I get them. This is the second watch he has done for me the first being a Red Sub. He now has my old orange hand explorer. Each time I get one back it is like getting a new watch. He really does wonderful work.

On another topic does any one know where to source a white face for a 2 year old TOG with out having to trade in the current blue face?

Thanks
Steve

Nice job by Mr Ridley once again.

Did he relume the markers for you?

Wear it and enjoy it mate. No good keeping a DRSD locked up.

Now that you ask, that is a very good question. To be sure I will need to wait until I get his invoice to be sure. He forgot to take pictures and failed to include an invoice before he sent it back. I hope to get some pictures taken after the orange hand is completed.

The more I look at it the more I do not think that he did. My memory is not so good but I do not remember talking with him about the lume. I should get the invoice from Barbara any day so I will get back to you.

Cheers mate. Might be just the pics but the lume looks a little raised. Might be just a trick of the light.

Damn you have good young eyes. I put a loop on it and they do look raised. Different numbers at different heights. The hands are obviously not original, they were changed a number of years ago to allow me to use the watch at night. I will let it sit out for a day and see what it looks like in the dark.
Take care
Steve

LOL my eyes are fading fast mate. Recently turned 44 and a trip to the eye doctor is on the cards this year.

44, Hell I do not even remember 44. It is dark here now and there is no new lume on it. Still just the hands and the dot show up. O well, I bet that saved me a few dollars. My wife is pushing me to wear it and if I do not I think she will put it on herself. She wears a green sub now. She sold a SD to get it and regrets it now I think.
Thanks for taking the time to converse.
Take care
Steve

Ah, that Talented Mr. Ridley strikes again.

Beautiful watch. It really does look new. If he can restore a watch to that condition then it encourages one to wear it and to wear it as it was created to be worn--for the sport of it. Hmmm, about the Deutschmarks table cloth...might that be surplus from Mrs. Merkel's coffers.

Wear your DRSD in rudely robust health.

What a beauty. Ridley is indeed "da man" on vintage.

Like Pete, I would wear it constantly if it were mine, perfect looking or not.

Sweet watch!

The only thing that seems missing is a semi faded original bezel insert.
