I like my sporty watches made of steel or some other durable metal. If I was getting a watch in a precious metal, it would have to be a dress watch, and probably from Patek or Vacheron as opposed to Rolex. I don't mind a gold Day-Date Presidential, but a gold Sub just strikes me as a bit odd.

Love, love, love the 116619. I wish they gave us a blue option for the SS owners.
Anyways, you can always brush the links or even do a blue dial/bezel swap on a SS Sub-C. There was one for sale not too long ago in the $8k range. |
