Thanks dude. Yes it may be plexi not mineral but cared for, it looks great. BTW if you are a plastic fiend you'll most likely know about Graygate polish; if not just ask Mr Google, he's very accommodating! |

I love my 6694. Bought it in 1967 and just had it serviced for the first time by the NY RSC last summer.

That's a really lovely, understated watch. It's a credit to you. You say you had it serviced for the first time by NY RSC last summer. How often do you get it serviced? How is the time keeping afterwards (better/same?). Mine should be back next week - service is done, just got to pay! |

Mind me asking where you manage to get that bracelet for your 6694? I always thought it only came in an oyster bracelet.

I'm in the market for a 6694. Looking at this one here: http://timeman.net/thewatch.asp?id=997.
Anything you guys suggest I look out for in this model? Any particular questions to ask? Thanks! |

That green dial is not original. You may want to consider having the original dial as a spare incase you need to go back to RSC.
Having said that you may also want to consider the possibility that your local RSC may(not) have spare parts for the 6694.

I just had my beat-up Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6694/0 (inherited from my ancestors) serviced/overhauled by Rolex Watch USA, Inc (Lititz Service Center, PA) through Mayors Jeweler. It was a such a sweet pleasant surprise. They did such a fantastic job that I couldn't differentiate my old watch from the brand new oyster watches they have in the store. They had to replaced a few parts in order to bring it to this condition: (1) Factory Mov't Service - New Crystal - $700 (2) Touch up Case - $0 (3) 1 x Dial -Black w/g markers L - $510 (4) 1 x Pair of Hands - $60 (5) 1 x Second Hands - $30 (6) 1 x Winding crown s/st - $0 (7) New Leather Strap - $150 (8) New Buckle - $65 Total $1515 + Tax |
