my explorer 39mm to trade for a SD... questions inside...
These is my 1st post......
First of all i love this site... Very helpful and informative..... These is my problem... I have a explorer 39mm... And i know even though its a nice watch and all... The following of this watch is not that large compared to submariners...... And the resale value is not that good also.... That if you woll buy this... U ahould buy it to own it..... Not by trading or flipping it.... Anyway this is my question.... I have explorer 39mm july 2012 purchased.... Someone is willing to trade his m series SD.... mint and complete also.... 2004 purchased.... Now whats the fair trade.... Like who will add or full swap or ?!?!? If trade then i will add 1k usd... You think its fair?? Thanks for looking and thanks in advance to those who will reply... |

I think it's fair and I do prefer the SD over the Exp, but only do it if the SD is the watch you really want and not just because it has a bigger "following".

I think it's fair, but much prefer the explorer. Don't worry about the following it has. It's awesome!!!

The Explorer has its own followers and you bought it because you liked it too. Now i would trade if the SD is what you want, not because it has a bigger following, nothing wrong with your Explorer.

I personally prefer the Explorer I to the SD. However I purposefully chose a Rolex with a smaller following (Explorer II 40mm) because it flies under the radar a bit more. The SD may be more popular, but that also means its less likely to survive that midnight walk through Central Park ;).
