Hi All!

I only took this one shot but its a wrist shot so I hope it counts!

What year is Rolex Air King Date?

What are your thoughts on this one. It does look beautiful and I am told that the date version of the Air King is very rare.

Let me know your thoughts as they are highly appreciated as always!

Hey wahasa,

The serial number is between the lugs, that will help me date it closer. That particular dial was produced during and around 1958 with the "Super Precision" text. Btw, what you have there is a Ref 5700.

I wouldn't call the 5700 rare. They are difficult to find but many were made, mostly for the Commonwealth nations.

The hands on your watch were replaced at a later date, probably in the 70s or 80s. Nothing to worry about though. A 50 year old watch is going to need a repair once in a while.
