Panerai gold hands - What are they made of?

Are they made of real gold? The hands on my 422 looks like rose gold-ish..

What about other models?

Not solid gold. Read it somewhere.. but I think gold-plated brass.

I have a 390, which has gold hands also. I called the New York boutique and they said the hands were real gold. It's such a small amount; there's probably more in your cellphone, but its real.
