The Best Representative of the 5513
I have come to the (subjective) conclusion that every vintage Rolex enthusiast deserves a 5513.
While I do wish that I could have all variants of the 5513, I do operate with certain constraints. Instead of funding another 5513 project, I would rather preserve the war chest for another Rolex model. Having said this, if you could have only one 5513 in your collection, what (realistic) variant in your opinion would best represent the 5513? Many thanks for your feedback, Cheers! |

Based on the poll results so far, current market pricing is completely off :)

Gotta agree with the beauty of a 5513.
As for model, guess what talks to You, in my case I have none of the poll's ones, but fell in love with the patina of a feet first. |

dude, they are all 5513, there is no "best" representative. Correct me if I am wrong: Some watches in your list are fake. There is no meter first 5513 made in the 70's And gilt dial only made until sometime in 1966. I would call that mid-60's.
Any gilt/matt dial 5513 is good as they are all in the period when Rolex is at its prime. |

Dude, chill. Have some coffee, relax. Breathe in. It's just a poll. :)
If you wanna nitpick be my guest but it doesn't take a genius to understand what choices I have given out. Chill buddy, it's just a forum. |

Early 60's Gilt Chapter Ring PCG are the most beautiful 5513, but matt mt first are the most representative!

I have a 5513 that I got in 1984 (my avatar pic). I'm not so familiar with the others. Does anyone have a picture of each type to post? Would help to develop a more informed opinion.

What nifty looking dial with hands and markers the color of autumn squash!
Excellent idea about posting variants that forum folks possess. I always love to see these watches magnified on the screen. But it's easy for me because I don't have one. Sorry about that. |

Sorry bout the choices, if I could edit them I would as follows -
1. Early Gilt Chapter Ring PCG 2. Later Gilt (Bart Simpson / Regular Coronet) 3. Early White Text Meters First 4. Later White Text Maxi Dials / Feet First 5. Last Variant WG Surrounds |
