A few factors:
Exchange rate Import tax Need to find another AD if one is telling you there is awaiting list for a 116610LN |

PM sent.In my mind not worth the hassle of going anywhere other than a UK AD if thats the route you want to take, not how i would get one but getting one from another counry could mean taxes which makes the whole buying a non starter for me.

why buy from an AD when you can get good deals on TRF? yes the AD experience ( for the hour it takes ) might be worth something, and yes you build some relationship, but actually you can save a far bit of money from sellers here.

IMHO not worth risking the watch being taken to save on tax. I don't know what import rules are in the UK so I'd be careful buying out of country and shipping into the UK. I like buying from my AD. With a good relationship you can save just as much money as buying in the classifieds. The real reason I responded is I'm SHOCKED that you are saying its a 4 month wait to get a 116610. I couldn't tell you the last time I went into an AD and didn't see at least one. Guess that's the different in the UK and US but I would guess that if you go to only a few ADs I bet you find one sitting in the case.

Errol07 - our deal all went really sweetly. However, it would be great to be the only oracle as to good recommendations, but that's just MY personal experience from this forum. Many many others who have bought from other TRFer's out there.
But outside this forum ( there's a whole bunch of Rolex outlets which are not AD's that I've spent money at that give equally good service that I'd name, but they don't charge AD prices ). Blowers, MGray, Rebecca's, Bradleys to name a few.
