Icon10 116523 vs 116613, Greetings From YYZ!

YYZ as in Toronto, Canada.

In about a week or two I have to decide between a black dial TT Daytona, or a blue dial Sub. My first Rolex.

No messing around. I’m picking one up new from an AD.

Tried both of them on the other day, and while the blue Sub is very attractive, a Daytona just holds that extra bit of appeal for me. I figured, so what if Bond only wore a Sub.

I have no desire whatsoever to own a SS Daytona, and frankly I don’t see the fuss. IMHO.

At this stage, in my eyes at least, the TT Daytona is kicking the blue Sub’s behind – 90% to 10%.

Unless of course die-hard 16613 fans can convince me otherwise why their watch is better.

Your opinions would be of great value. Good day gentlemen.

Welcome to TRF, Jesse!

Well, if the TT Daytona smiles back at you more than the TT Blue Sub, definately go for the TT Daytona!

I have the SS Daytona, and I can tell you one thing: The movement in the Daytona (Cal. 4130) is AMAZING! The most precise Rolex I have ever had. And I for my part do not miss the date function.
