wanted an sd originally and then i tried on the subc.
to be honest, i believe that a watch should have a history with you and not before you so i prefer brand new and the sub c offers the classic sub feeling in a very modern form. you can't go wrong with either watch, both are great.

Of course, only you can decide.
I think it depends on bit and age and connection to Rolex. It is a bit like us old-timers who grew up on Sean Connery as Bond prefers SC in the role while the younger generation really digs Daniel Craig (OK, strange analogy, I know). For many of us a bit older than you, we grew up loving the SD so that is one lies closest to our heart in terms of pedigree, design and attraction. If you are coming into Rolex the last few years, why bother about what a bunch of old-timers or WIS thinks? ;-) The SubC is an updated movement, better lume and legibility, a more comfortable clasp system etc, but the SD got SOUL! :-) |

Sea Dweller on a 97200 bracelet is my current daily rocker. But new Sub is also an excellent choice. Put on both models and then you might like one better.
