now that the 380 is "out"...

what are the future holds for the 210 and 183 or even 000?

the 380 def. reminds me of the above mentioned 3 pieces? maybe the 000 is "safe" because it is a Luminor... but what do you think about the 210 and 183? will they disappear from the Panerai catalogue eventually?

sorry - i havent really studied/read alot of the 2011 offerings, so this topic may have talked about already. if so, my apologies...

your thoughts?

(maybe im over analysing?)

I think there would be minimal change.

The 380 is solid back, painted dial. People love the display back and sammy dials, but this one will cater to those that don't.

There is too much going on with that dial to satisfy my taste. Sub-seconds, texts, logo etc. Not in harmony IMO.

Agreed. Give me a 210 or 112 any day over the 380.

380 just looks a bit off to me as the Rads are typically non-cluttered..
but I guess it just takes time...
the 210/183 will be here to stay unless the ETA movements get swapped out...

Too busy and unbalanced. The logo fits best (IMHO) on a 3-6-9-12 dial.

I agree. I am a big Rad fan (as you can see from my PAM collection), but there is too much action with the 380 for me.

I have to agree with the consensus here and say that it is a bit too busy for my likes, at least for a Radiomir. If it wasn't a RAD i would be okay with it but one thing I have noticed about the Rad's is that they are a lot cleaner than this.

Good stuff. That was my thoughts also. I was quite interested in the 380 when I first saw the pix, mainly due to the Panerai logo (a big fan of the logo). Then after a while I thought it was too busy on the dail.

I would love a 210 with a Panerai OP logo on it though

It seems to me that Rad fans don't like the 380 because for them, it's just plain too busy. For a Luminor fan (such as myself), this is actually the first Rad I would consider owning for the exact reason Rad fans don't care for it. Love all the stuff going on in the dial.............that's what makes us Luminor fans.

To each, his own.

I respect everyone's opinion here and I for one, is a fan of the 380. I have owned a 190 and 287 in the past but I prefer 380 the most. Maybe its just me but I really enjoy the painted dial, the logo and the solid case back. This is the one Rad I want to own next to my 1950 and regular luminor models.

I think it looks pretty good on the vintage tan strap no?!

Have a great week everyone!

Best,

Fred

That vintage tan strap looks great. My 000 is on that strap, and looks good on it too.

I think the 380 is completely different than the rest of the watches. Its basically a 005 on a radiomir case. And with the existing 005, the 000, 112, 111, etc are all still there. So I wouldnt worry.

Great looking strap, Fred. The watch is nice - as long as you're happy with it you'll enjoy it. If that changes you can sell it and move on - no worries!

Thank you!

Its the OEM vintage gold calf and the boutique will take care of you. It is also the same strap on the 360.

Best,

Fred

I love the PAM380, it might soon be my first Rad, I originally though about getting a PAM210 but feel it is too similar to my PAM112...

I think it would be a nice addition to my PAM112, the are opposites almost even though they are similar...

Differences to the PAM112

Painted Dial
Small Second
Logo
No clearcaseback

It is almost a done deal :-)...

I like a vintage looking strap as well for my ceramic 335! It's currently on a kaktus/fransson drifter. Looks very nice with a PVD buckle!

I think the PAM 000 will hold out. People who are looking for entry level PAMs usually are more attracted to the crown guard more (luminors) than radiomirs..

LOVE the 380 as well, the first RAD I owned... I sold it however because i'm just not a big Radiomir fan... It felt delicate to wear a lot, weird and just mental though
