Advice for AP AD in CT

I see in AP's web site there are 2 AP ADs in CT (MANFREDI JEWELS in Greenwich, and ARMSTRONG & ROCKWELL in Hartford,. I am in RI and want to check out some APs in person. Hartford is about an hr and a half, and Greenwich is 2hrs away. Witch dealer has the best stock of different models? If I'm taking a drive, I don't want to go to an AD that has a small selection. Or would I be better off dealing with the hassle and going in to NYC and go to the AP boutique?

Can't speak for these particular AD's but in my experience with NYC AD's (Tourneau, Wempe, etc.), the stock is always a bit frustratingly limited (only a couple of each type) whereas the AP Boutique has almost everything! If you want the real deal exposure, I've never seen an AD that can compare. And the staff at the boutique are the greatest people to work with.

Yea, That's what I figured.... Just so much easier NOT going in to NYC.

Just call ahead to see if they have the majority of models you want to try. Same with the boutique since there's always a chance the watch you are interested in was sold.

On average the boutique always has much more selection ;)

I can't speak for Manfredi, but I can for Armstrong Rockwell -- give 'em a call and they'll give you the straight dope on what they have in stock. What's more, Al Armstrong is practically an institution unto himself, and I've yet to meet anyone with anything other than good -- nay, amazing things to say about him.

But yes, if you want to see the maximum number of APs in a minimum amount of time, the NYC boutique can't be beat.

Regards,
Adam

Not much selection at Manfredi. NY boutique is definitely the way to go and if you're going all the way to Greenwich, NYC isn't much farther.

I'm not sure about pricing, but if you're going to pay full retail, you'll avoid taxes by shipping from NY Boutique and also get the 5 year warranty instead of 3.

You really should go to the NYC boutique. I've been there to have my AP serviced under warranty and it is beautiful....
