Like you, I'm still undecided. I like the ROO but somehow they look too large on me. And I don't want to jump on a RO or ROC just because I can't wear a ROO. Hard decisions indeed...

My first was a 25820 RO Perpetual Calendar and I LOVED it! A cpl months ago I got rid of it and picked up a ROO FC. My next will be a Navy Themes on hornback.
You can't go wrong with any AP though!

I really wanted my first one to be true to the original RO design. So for me the Offshores were not in the running. I looked at the 15202, the 15300, the 15400 and the RO chronograph in the 39mm and 41mm. I decided I really wanted it to be as close to the original RO as possible so I went with the 15202 and I'm thrilled with it. Its just an amazing watch. Versatile enough for casual clothing, slim enough and elegant enough to wear with suits. I think if I add another RO to my collection it will be the 41mm RO Chronograph.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

ROO or Diver if you tend to like more of a sport watch.

If you like more dress style with hint of sport the AP Dual Time or 15300.

I was first drawn into the AP brand while looking for an Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph. I liked the look of the orange bezel on a black strap with orange stitching. The salesperson (in a store that didn't carry Omega) saw that I was wearing a SS Sub and decided I needed to move to the next level. Since I was looking for orange, he showed me orange...The AP ROO Volcano. It definitely sang to me. For a long time, I couldn't get it out of my head. Then I started thinking about a Panerai. That's when I showed up here. I did some reading and a month after I bought my Panerai through one of the trusted sellers here on TRF, I bought an AP ROO Safari. That was my first AP.

More recently, I tried on a Royal Oak Chronograph and realized how nice the original was with the SS bracelet. It's definitely on my radar (along with a SS Daytona or maybe a non Chrono RO). I'm constantly in the FS section of the forum (a dangerous place to be certain). Anyways, there is no wrong choice for your first AP. Adding an AP to the collection is always right
