Incoming...

Well, it has landed. AD offered me a 176 k which is in very good nick. Original black gator strap shows fair wear; the watch IS used, but they touched up the case where needed N/C. Got a free rubber strap with it and a deal on an Assolutamente strap.

What's not to like? I have no issue with the movement, even though not in house. My AD has a factory trained tech who will service this movement (won't do in house movement). Titanium is nice and light and not AS prone to show dings as SS, although I know it can, and likley will. But it's starting out really clean.

Dial is about as simple as they get.

That is a beautiful watch. Sometimes, like in this case, less is more IMHO

Thank you all for your comments! This is the first watch I've had w/o date or second hand. I bought it second hand, but it doesn't have one.

I almost bought a new Cellini some years ago but couldn't live w/o a second hand, but with the PAM it seems "natural." It's also nice not having to abscess about how many seconds off it is, and resetting the date.

Congrats! I love the Ti + assolutamente combo!

btw, I though titanium is softer than SS so it should show dings more..shouldnt it?

I don't know about the softness or hardness of the metal but I am sure it will get battle scars. It had them before I bought it but it sure cleaned up really well! So I am confident it can be done again as needed. It won't be my daily wearer; I rotate every day, so it will take awhile to need refinishing.

I have a Breitling M1 SQ in titanium from 2003 and it has some "patina" to it but nothing I'd consider needed case work. In fact if I ever have it serviced (it's quartz) I'd probably decline case work.

BTW this PAM has a sandwich dial. I am frankly far more smitten by the simplicity of the dial than I thought I'd be. Sometimes I surprise myself.

The simplicity of the BASE is a really cool thing, hard to explain and not for everyone but for me, a super cool aspect with crown guard.

Congrats, great score. I have a Ti Rad but am thinking of a SS Luminor.

So far my Ti experience is good, no dings or scratches despite a few casual hits.

Sunlit photos

Here are a couple of photos in sunlight....

Wow, I cannot believe how much I am enjoying the simplicity and beauty of this uncluttered dial. This is going to become a serious addiction. Serious....
