Speedmaster ?'s

I see so many different models! I am interested in an automatic w/date. Which should I choose?

I noticed the MK40 am/pm which is very sharp, but does that am/pm act as a gmt? if so it might be the perfect watch!

It depends on your budget.
The one in your picture can be had for little money, as it is a 7750 based watch. Bullet proof reliability.

If money is NOT that important, I'd go for a 33xx powered Speedmaster, such as the Broad Arrow or the Legend series.

I Have a Broad Arrow, its bloody amazing, beautifully simplistic, aesthetically pleasing and unique! but yes there are sooo many variations on Speedies, it depends on whether you're a purist, in which case i would go for the original SMP with the white stick hands, or if you want something more complicated go for a moonphase, at the end of the day you can't go wrong with a Speedmaster! i love them

Speedy Date

I'm a big fan of the Speedy Date. Classic looks, auto movement, sapphire crystal, and simple chrono w/ date function. I think this baby looks sharp on the bracelet, but would dress up nicely on a black croc strap.

The world and his mother have a Seamaster!i think its much more of a rarity to find someone with a Speedmaster, whenever i see someone with a speedy , i think that he/she, may have some appreciation for the watch and not just plagiarised the latter-day James Bond. Speedies all the way!

Speedmaster moon is quit "old fashion"...but still, it is nice and a classic. So bad Omega does not have in-house movement in this watch. If they have, I would buy one. I only want to buy wactches with in-house movement

Frostie, what kind of watch do you have?

It's good that you want to buy watches with in house movements but i really admire the seamaster allthough omega doesn't have such a big resale value.

Nothing wrong with old fashioned! I love classics, my dad has a speedy from the 70s or even older I dont know. In house movt doesnt bother me as a 7750 is super reliable, and I just need a daily wearer to knock around.

Thats why I would be looking for a used one!! I see speedys for around 1500 which is pretty good for a watch of this caliber
