I need your opinion for first AP

Hey there friends, since i started collecting watches Ive been in love with AP watches, considering them the best of the best, and right now im able to get my first one, the question is, what should I get for my first AP? the two options I have in mind is the AP Royal Oak 15400 black dial or the AP Diver.

Thanks a lot for your opinion!

cant go wrong with either. think it comes down to whether you're looking to add something more on the sporty, trendy side (diver) or more on the classic side. both satisfy all those attributes reasonably well, but I'd say that's the small relative positioning difference.

15202 or 15300.

The 15400 looks out of proportions. IMHO.

Go try some on

if you can... but if you don't plan to buy one when you go, DON'T bring money because you will go home with one!!!

My first (currently only one) is an older model...15000...simple and sporty.

For your first one I would recommend the 15400 over the Diver as it is way more versatile. For a first AP I would search for a 15300 or a Jumbo.

I second the others with either a 15300/15400 or Jumbo.

If you are "average" height and build, get the 15300. If you are very tall then get the 15400.

And don't get black, blue is much nicer looking and sporty. Black is the least popular of the three main colors.

15400 may be better choice to start. It is classic and never go out dated.

Daily wear

I am also facing this decision. Would anyone consider one of these more "sturdy" then the other for daily wear?

Both are equally sturdy and perfect for everyday wear.

Both are equally good as first, just choose which one that you love better on the wrist!

I own a 15400 and a Diver and both give a completely different look. The Diver does have more of a sport feel and is extremely comfortable almost non existent on your wrist. But, the brushed lines of the 15400 and the full bracelet are something that has to been seen to admire and it screams class! I love both so, and you cant go wrong with either!

I guess someday ill have both but for now went with the Diver and LOVE it! I'm trying to order the bracelet for it but looks like a 3+ month back order. Guess that will make me really appreciate it that much more when it finally arrives! Really appreciate all of the input.
