As many of you know I've had a GMT-Master for a long time.
I've always wanted a small hand version. During the "hunt" I ran across this one and the gilt dial was to much to pass up.

My pictures don't do it justice. Sadly many of these watches lost their mini-hand and dial over the years.

Presented is a 1675 GMT-Master ser# 1.3 mil circa 1966.

Another beauty Mike.

I love those old GMTs with acrylic crystal, pepsi bezel and no surrounds.

Very nice, Mike. But, unlike Paul, I like the black bezel and the surrounds that outline the markers. I find they add a touch crispness to the GMT-II that just seems to set it apart from the pack.

Love the gilt dials on vintage GMTs, Subs and Explorers.

The next one you're going to have to search for is a 6542 (my fav GMT!)

If you're talking new GMT Ed, I agree with you 100%. On the vintage though, I like the look. Just take a look at the large hr markers. It's almost like a maxi dial. Matched with the acrylic crystal and matte dial, the bezel looks right due to the fact that's what came with it, IMO. On a new GMT, I'm not crazy about the pepsi. I like the black/red, and obviously the black. The black is less noticeable.

I agree Paul, new to vintage is like comparing apples to mangos. Even though I like new watches, there is no denying the beauty of that bad boy.
