Are there more than one color of the champagne dial.

I've seen alot of shades of the newer SWISS dials. I know alot depends on lighting but some look much darker than others.

This is the darkest champagne dial color you can get . . . . ;-)

Hi,

Speaking personally, I found the champagne dial of my 2005 Datejust 116233 to be quite a bit darker than the champagne dial in my 1979 Day-Date 19018.

Yes there are different shades over the years.

Like the spirit for which it is named, there are many hues over the vintages. Don't forget oxidation will affect the oldest variations even if the paint began with the identical hue.

Although the shades do vary, you can't order a Champagne light or a Champagne dark.. You pretty much get what comes in..

As an aside, Rolex offers the "Goldust" dial that is 24K Gold electrodeposited on a treated Mother of Pearl substrate.

Very interesting to look at, and a viable option to straight Champagne dial.
