"To me it looks like an old bezel??,the bezel measures 36.97mm outside diameter, inside diameter is 25.20mm,the height is 5.94mm,the edge of the bezel looks like the edge of a coin, on the inside of the bezel, it has stamped in large capital letters(ROLEX WATCH CO LTD GENEVA SUISSE),I just found this item at a garage sale, it was in amongst an box of old watch parts, it is very light and looks like it is made of aluminium, may be some one could identify it, or some information about it, it could be a very rare item, or maybe not, this item is being sold as is for parts, no returns, any information would be greatly appreciated."
The seller doesn't know what it is but has it listed for $500 OBO... |

Looks like an old press die.
The wording fits up into the press handle, and the machined contour on the small end is then pressed down to seat the part on the case. Probably pretty old, and probably not worth a tenth of the asking price..

At least the guy had enough self awareness to include the two question marks.

has nothing to do with a Rolex. It looks like a piece off of an old camera lens.

Not many camera lenses have "Rolex Watch Co Ltd - Geneve - Suisse" embossed on them.
