Ebay scammer

So last month I sold a Two Tone Rolex Jubilee bracelet on ebay, I knew for a fact this bracelet was authentic. It came off a watch that was recently serviced by a RSC, I had the gold tested, and I had my AD take a look at it. Bottom line, I did my due diligence and knew it to be 100% authentic. Nearly a month after completing the ebay transaction I get a PP dispute case from the buyer. They buyer's reason for the dispute "watch is fake" those are his exact words. Mind you the auction is for a bracelet and not a watch. I respond to the case with a few paragraphs explaining the due diligence I completed before selling the watch. Additionally I attached documents proving my case. The case is still in arbitration but I am guessing this guy is a low life scammer who will try to get a refund from paypal, and send me the bracelet back missing links, or a fake bracelet all together.

Fast forward to last week I list another Two Tone Rolex Jubilee bracelet on ebay (using my other ebay account because negative feedback left by scammer), completing the same due diligence prior to listing this bracelet. Guess who wins this auction? Yup, the scammer, this time using an other ebay account! I am furious and am willing to give his information to anyone that needs it. What do you guys think I should do? I sent a second chance offer on the item, but there is no telling weather or not it will pan out. I guess I learnt my lesson NO EBAY!!!

It's déjà vu all over again!

Simply refuse to complete the transaction and file a report with Ebay. That is, assuming that you blocked him under his other account. You can block people from bidding on your auctions.

Better yet, sell your stuff on TRF.

Today is not the best day for me to look at bracelets (look at my post http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=268475), but I don´t feel totally at ease with yours either (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=268502). Letters in the scroll don´t look fine.

I am sure and happy to be wrong, but I have to say what I think.

I edit because I see the bracelet is from 1980. Maybe then the lettering was not as good as it came to be. This is more a "vintage" affair.

Cancel the auction, refund his payment and refuse to sell it to the guy. Then add him to your list of blocked bidders to prevent any future occurrence.

I'm not sure what to make of Jose's twist on the OP's listing in TRF's Classifieds.

Makes this thread a bit muddy methinks.

To the OP, good luck with eBay and PayPal dispute process.

As for Jose's comment - it may be out of place in this thread - but must agree that the Jubilee is questionable for more reasons than the ROLEX lettering in the clasp's deployment arm. The end link marking with an additional letter opposite the number is unusual. And missing engraved matching number 55 on both bracelet links nearest the 455 end link is questionable. Lastly SWISSMADE vs. SWISS MADE on stamping.

Just some issues I saw...

I would not send just refund, and take the feedback. You can respond to feedback. I would not deal with this guy again.

I am very sorry if I have hurt any sensitivities. I just wanted to pont that the buyer of the bracelet (I assume it is the same which is for sale in TRF) had a point in objecting to its autenticity. I do not mean the OP tried to cheat anybody, but whoever told him the bracelet was genuine may have been mistaken.

The fact that somebody told you something is genuine doesn´t in itself make it so.

Hmm I just checked back on this thread I just checked the link. Can you remove a screw and take a photo and show us a close up of the gold centre link corner. The band has some inconsistencies.

Thanks I understand better now. Wasn't sure earlier. I agreed with your question - it was just the placement.

I assure you that the band is genuine, but have no problems taking pictures (will post in morning). You are correct, there are inconsistencies in patina as the end links were removed at purchase at put back on when the watch was sold to me.

My gripe with the buyer was if he believed the band was fake why didn't he substantiate his claim rather than stating one sentence "watch is fake". And the band pictured and linked to is another band altogether, as the band that was thought to be fake is still with the scammer while the case is in arbitration. Sorry if I did not make that clear. I appreciate the help guys!

Clarification:
Band that was accused of being fake is with the scammer who bought it. Not pictured

Band that is pictured is with me and was sold today on ebay and won buy the same scammer who is calls the band I sold to him, and assure the authenticity of last month a "fake watch"

Again sorry guys for the confusion, but it is complex story.

I am the one to be sorry. I beg your pardon, I assumed the band was the one on sale on TRF, but I see now I was wrong.

If he paid you through Paypal he doesnt have too.

I hope you get it worked out and Paypal decides in your favor but dont hold your breath unless the buyers jeweler says its authentic.

paypal is a horrible company IMO, they protect buyers a hell of alot more than sellers and I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I wouldn't get your hopes up at winning the case unless you have solid proof that a 3 year old couldn't deny; the person who's doing this also doing it more than once it makes it look like he's just a conman. I would either transfer all your money out of your paypal account and destroy the bank account it's attached to and let paypal deal with the loss. Or your going to be out a pretty large chunk of change. And after the all the fees from ebay and paypal (10-20%) its probably just easier selling it cheaper to a legitimate buyer on TRF with no problems. bank wire transfer is the way to go!

Any update rolexgolfer? A scumbag tried to pull this stunt on me and he had multiple eBay accounts too. By chance was the payment from MC Laboratories or was the scumbags name Chad?
