Omega Constellation Double Eagle Chrono... your opinions?

OK,

I like the Omega Co-Axials and was wondering whether this would be a good way to get the same movement as the PO Chrono but with a smaller case and lower price?

Does anyone out there own a Constellation? Or even the Chrono version? What is a good used price for one of these used? What about resale good or no? How popular are the Connies these days?

Hi Ren,

I've seen the Double Eagle in person and was very impressed with the finish and beauty of the watch. Quite heavy too. I think that Chrono is 42 mm plus.

I quite like the date model. The bracelet finish is superb and very solid looking. The TT version is mind-blowing. And you've got a fantastic co-axial movement to boot.

Can NEVER go wrong with an OMEGA, buddy!!!

Hello Ren... I see you're still on your quest for an Omega. Same here. Aesthetically, I'm not too partial to the Romans on the bezel. Love the display back though. The advice I got in my thread about the SMP seems to holding true. Used=40%-60% of MSRP. Good luck finding your coaxial Omega

Still looking buddy! I like the looks of this baby I'm just not 100% sure that it will smile at me you know? I'll have to decide or just hold out for a ROLEX...

Glad to hear you liked it in the flesh! I have heard they are sturdy as hell and that the bracelet is one of the best that Omega makes... I'll be looking around at a local AD to see how it looks in real life tonight that should help me decide.

That's right....and, yes, the bracelet is amazingly finished and looks very strong too!!

I think the double eagle is 41mm. It is, IMHO a wonderful chronograph, together with the speedmaster broad arrow and the Rolex daytona!!! Anyway, all of those are great!
