Navitimer 01 complete model number?
Hello, I'm a Breitling newbe.
Looking for the pictured Nav 01 with white date window & brown strap. What is the specific model number (inc strap designation)? It can be either gator or calfskin. Clasp can be deployment or buckle I see a lot of black straps -1cd, -1lt, -1ct, but brown. It looks like the current models e.g. AB012012-BB01-1ct all have a black date window. Thanx |

That's not a Navitimer 01. That's a previous generation A23322. Sorry, I don't have the strap code for a brown calf strap. Breitlings are traditionally sold at ADs with the watch head and strap/bracelet separately. So it's possible to have non-standard combinations out there. The previous generation was also offered with more dial/strap options than the current 01 variant.
Btw, if someone is trying to sell that to you as a Navitimer 01 walk away! |

Thanx for the info. Curious, is a A23322 a desirable choice over the a Nav1?

To some, yes, because it's the last generation of the original Navitimer to use the Valjoux based, B23 movement. To others, no, because the Navi01 uses Breitling's in-house developed, B01 movement. There's some argument that the B01 hasn't been as reliable as the original, and some early movements had issues, but Breitling seems to have resolved them. My Navitimer 01 LE has been spot on reliable.
The other difference is the variation of dials on the previous generation that doesn't appear in the Navi01. Yet, the Navi01 does have a larger case...only by 1 mm. However, to me at least, the difference seems larger on my wrist. |

How do you know this is not an 01? Looks almost identical to http://www.breitling.com/en/models/n...tion/index.php

The date wheel is white...the Navitimer 01 has a black date wheel. The second hand is silver with a red tip...the Navitimer 01 second hand is completely red. The logo is printed on...the Navitimer 01 has an applied logo.

Correct, but that's not a picture of a Navitimer 01 LE either. The numerals on the date wheel of the Navitimer 01 LE are burgundy, not black. It also has a white gold applied logo instead of yellow gold. I'm looking at my Navitimer 01 LE right now.
